HyperX memory is built with more aggressive timings than industry standard (JEDEC) memory. HyperX modules are specifically engineered to meet the rigorous requirements of PC enthusiasts. HyperX offers faster speeds, lower latencies, and higher data bandwidths. Using HyperX memory may require that you go into the BIOS and set the overclock profile manually in order for the BIOS to recognize the memory properly. HyperX memory is tested at the advertised speed at the factory, and is also tested and qualified on a broad range of motherboards by the world’s leading motherboard manufacturers. However, because of the unlimited options available to users for their custom builds, we cannot guarantee HyperX to be compatible with every possible configuration. Motherboard design variation and other system components, such as power supply, processor model, graphics card, and system cooling, may affect the ability of the memory to overclock to the advertised speed.
Before setting the timings it's a good idea to have the latest BIOS. The BIOS can be downloaded from your motherboard manufacturer's website. It's also a good idea to set the BIOS to the default values to rule out any other possible conflicts. Please check your processor’s documentation to make sure it supports the speed of the memory you're installing. Also check the specific motherboard’s Qualified Vendor List, and any special instructions they have for using overclocked memory.
If you are unable to successfully overclock the memory, please contact our Technical Support department for assistance. We can help you find a memory module that is compatible with your system.
